Many companies got 3G and 4G service licenses in Pakistan and Warid is one of them. Warid is celebrity its 9th anniversary and company has launched trials for 4 G services successfully. According to the officials of the company, they are planning to invest more than 400 US dollars in the telecom sector of the country.
4G LTE is considered as the best available broadband speed, which has been ever tested in the country. During the trails, the download speed was recorded as 35.5 Mbps for downloads and for uploads it was 8.52 Mbps. This speed was in the vicinity of company’s office in Lahore. After the successful trails, company is planning to launch the trial service for the customers by the end of June. Yet they have tested it on 15 locations within the city of Lahore. However, many critics say that they would not be able to launch it commercially before August.
Warid get 4G LTE license, while other companies got 4G and 3 G licenses, so the company is facing a strong opposition is this regard. Actually, Warid has technology Neutral license, which enable the company to launch the 4G LTE service is the country, unlike its competitors.
Other companies are looking towards PTA, but Officials of the PTA say that they will give a green signal to Warid for 4G LTE, after checking the quality and standard of their service. Company officials say that they are confident that they will be able to meet all the standards which PTA wants and they will provide good quality services to their customers in the country.
However, we have to wait and see that what Warid has to offer to its customers. Not, just the coverage but quality of service and packages are also important. If other companies offer better service in less price, Warid will be in trouble. But if company maintains its service and offers affordable packages, they will get good response.
3G and 4 G service is in the trails period in the country and it will take time, until people get coverage for this fast speed internet.
