Before 2005, Sprint Corporation was just a spate name for than Nextel. Sprint is the name of global internet carrier firm and Nextel is the short name of Nextel Communication that was a common mobile service provider in United States. In 2005, Sprint decided to shift its customers from old iDEN technology to CDMA technology. Now, at some points, Sprint required the assistance of another mobile company and he chose Nextel for this aim. Now this was the time for Sprint to pay something for merging Nextel. Sprint claims that it paid $ 36 billion in this merging project to add the services of Nextel Communication. The joint-venture program was completed in the end of 2005 and from that time, the company is known as Sprint Nextel.
