Home phone is used in number of ways, sometimes we make long calls, sometimes just to ask for a carpet cleaning company. No matter, what is the use, but it’s really essential to have the landline. New Zealand telecom offers home phone for the local residents. It is really easy to get connection and the company offers some fair plans to suite your needs.
- $46: This plan starts from $46, which you will pay for a month. It will allow you to make as many local calls as you want. You can make these calls on all days of week, without waiting for the weekend.
- $50: This is the next plans, which starts form $50 per month. This is for those who have relatives in other cities and they have time to call them on weekends. This plan offers national calling package on weekends only.
- $60: This is also a weekend plan, which will remain valid for a month. You will pay $60 every month and in return you can call not only landlines but mobile phones too, nationwide. This is also a weekend plan and quite economical.
- $60: Another plan for national calling, but its valid for all days of the week. You will pay $60 for a month and you will be able to call on all landline numbers of the country, for the whole week.
As these are monthly plans, so you will be charged for the whole month, no matter either you stop the plan during a month or not. As far as national calls are concerned, they are for 2 hours duration. If a call lasts for more than 2 hours, you will be charged with 24c for a minute. If you want to call from home to any national landline number, you will be charged with $3 only and you can talk for 2 hours, after that standard call charges will be applied, as we have mentioned earlier.
These are just the monthly fees, other than that there are some installation charges too, which you will be paying according to your needs. For instance, site visit fee, network connection charges, internal wiring charges etc. Charges of internal wiring depend on the situation, which can be as low as $43 and as high as $ 120.
