GSM Mobile Service: Prepaid Service By Nepal Telecom

Under the umbrella of GSM mobile service, Nepal Telecom offers a wide range of service. Recently, the company has launched a new prepaid service, which is named as “Namaste”. With the launch of this prepaid service, the aim of the company is to provide good quality cellular services to all the people in country.

If you will buy a starter pack of Namaste you will get a SIM serial number, Mobile phone number with PIN and PUK numbers and a security code. Other than that it also contains a user guide and of course, the SIM card. You will also get airtime of worth Rs.100, which is for one month.  Namaste comes with various other benefits too, like Instant access to internet, and you have to pay no deposit fee and no bills. Customers can dial any international number with their prepaid number and international roaming is also activated, without any charges. Namaste offers access to all basic features like calling, SMS and call forwarding. Moreover, you can choose the language either English or Nepali.

Here is the list of important numbers, which you might need being a Namaste customer.

1414 : To recharge your account, query balance and expiry dates.
1498 : “Namaste” Customer Care Service for Pre-paid related complaints and information.
011614 : To divert your calls to NEPAL TELECOM Mobile Voice Mail System (VMS).
011616 : To check/retrieve messages and for Mailbox management.

You can activate your account simply by making your first call. Your first call will be received by the Nepal telecom, it will provide you necessary information and you can choose the language at this time. Once you have selected a language, you cannot change it. If you want to change you have to call 1498 and ask for changing the language.  When this call will end, you can make call to any number of your choice.

When you will recharge your balance, you will get an SMS and you can keep using your phone until your balance becomes zero. Different cards are available; you can recharge Rs. 50, 100, 200, 500 or 1000.
