We all send SMS for different reasons, sometimes for business reasons, sometimes for the sake of fun and sometimes to keep in touch with family and friends. Citycell offers free SMS service to many platforms, like Gmail, twitter and face book. Here we are discussing this in detail.
Gmail
Citycell users can send SMS to all Gmail accounts and receive as well, and that service is for free. Not only cell phone holder but Gmail user can also initiate the chat. People can take the advantage of this facility, when their contact is not available for online chat. Moreover, if you have no balance for simple SMS, you can contact through Gmail, with your family and friends. If you want to enable this service, you have to follow the given steps. You have to log in to your Gmail account as first step. After that, you have to click on the gear sign, which you can see in upper right corner of the page. Click on settings and a menu will open, now click on labs tab. It is a long menu, you will see text messaging, when you scroll down in chat option, you have to enable this option. You have to enable the SMS option in chat gadget as well. Now save all these changes and return.
Now go to the menu on left side and keep your pointer on one of the contacts in your chat, click on “more” and after that click “send SMS”. Now add mobile number of City cell, before that you have to select the country. Click “Save” in the end. Now you can send messages to your contacts.
You can tweet from your cell phone. If you want to turn On your twitter notifications and updates, you have to send “On” to 9594. If you want to stop getting notifications, send “OFF” to same number. There is particular code, if you want to reply a tweet, or want to un-follow a tweet, you can use these codes, according to situation.
City cell provides SMS service for face book as well. If you want to activate this service, you have to write FB and send it to 32665. You will get a confirmation code, when you will send this SMS. Now you have to change some settings as well, for that you have to sing in to your face book account. Insert confirmation code here and click on the button “confirm”.
